Submission requirements
There are a few conditions for your submission to be considered:
(i) Your article must be on philosophy, but we encourage writing on any topic, including the interdisciplinary or unconventional.
(ii) If your article was written for a module, it must be submitted after you have received a mark for it.
(iii) Your article will not be considered if it has already been published (student journal or otherwise)
(iv) Your article may not be more than 4000 words.
(v) Your article must be properly referenced, preferably in Harvard style.
Provided those conditions have been met, please do not hesitate to email your article to us (at journal@oxford-philsoc.org) by 25th September. Once your essay has been anonymously reviewed by the philosophy society committee, we will let you know if it will feature in the online-published first edition.
For more information, including tips on writing for the journal, take a look at our website, www.oxford-philsoc.org/journal, and if you have any questions please email us.
Update: Due to several requests we’re extending the deadline for article submissions to the 25th of September and art submissions to the 1st October. Enjoy the extra weeks to polish your submissions!
